Livia Stefani was born in Perugia, Italy, in 2001, and began to study violin at the age of nine.

She is an active soloist and chamber musician performing on international stages such as Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall in New York.  Additionally she has performed extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Livia made her debut as a soloist at the age of sixteen with West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra in Czech Republic.

Livia is regularly guest artist in international festivals such as Rome Chamber Music Festival, Accademia dei Cameristi, Grachten Festival, String Quartet Biennale Amsterdam etc. She performed alongside international soloists such as Robert Mc Duffie, Daniel Rowland, Maja Bogdanovich, Michail Zemtsov, Edoardo Zosi and David Krakauer. 

Livia is particularly devoting herself to the string quartet repertoire, she is indeed member and founder of the Hera Quartet which performs extensively throughout Europe since 2022.

She is currently studying in the class of Ilya Grubert at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. She previously studied with Zakhar Bron and Maurizio Sciarretta at the Zakhar Bron Akademie in Interlaken, Switzerland. 

She also had the opportunity to have masterclass with Pierre Amoyal, Fedor Rudin, Michael Frischenschlager and Oleg Kaskiv.

In March 2026 she has been invited to the Menuhin International Academy in Switzerland. 

Livia has won first prize in national and international competitions such as Grand Prize Virtuoso in Brussels, American Protégé Competition New York, National Competiton “Città di Piove di Sacco” (Italy), “Città Murata” (Padova, Italy), “Giovani Promesse Competition”, (Messina, Italy).
She was also a finalist of “M.Candino” Award in Rome.
